Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use roastmycv, we receive the CV file you upload and any job description you paste. We also receive your email address from Stripe when you complete a payment. We do not store your CV or job description after your analysis is complete — they are discarded immediately after processing.

How we use your data

Your CV is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate feedback. It is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers or in any database. Anthropic's data retention policy applies to their processing. Your email address is stored by Stripe for payment records. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Payment tokens are stored in our database for up to 24 hours to verify your purchase, then automatically expire. We store no CV content, job descriptions, or analysis results. Stripe retains payment records according to their own privacy policy.

Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see, store, or have access to your card details at any point. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to all payment data.

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies. We use sessionStorage (browser-only, not sent to servers) to temporarily hold your CV data during the payment redirect flow — this data is cleared immediately after use. Stripe may set cookies as part of the payment process.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate roastmycv:

Your rights (GDPR)
